"Trey" William Walker III

A funeral service to celebrate the life of George "Trey" William Walker III, will be held at 7:00 PM, Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at Bethel Worship Center in Camden. Pastor Casey Mills and Pastor Don Goude will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00–8:00 PM, Monday, April 7, 2014 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Burial will be in Hardshell Cemetery at 11:00AM, Wednesday, April 9, 2014. Memorials may be made in Trey’s memory to The American Cancer Society, c/o Gail Kirkland, 647 Lachicotte Road, Lugoff, SC 29078 or Kershaw County Home Health Hospice, 124 Battleship Road, Camden, SC 29020.

George William Walker III was born in Corpus Christi, TX, the son of George William Walker II and the late Helen Jean Ramsey Walker Lanin. He was a member of Bethel Worship Center, was a former Deacon and Sunday school teacher, coached baseball and softball for the Kershaw County Recreational Department, and was on the safety council committee at International Paper, where he was employed.

Trey is survived by his wife, Debbie Odom Walker; sons, Christopher Trimnal (Ashley) of Lugoff and Devin Walker of Lugoff; and daughter, Keely Walker of the home; granddaughters, Farrah Trimnal and Addison Trimnal; and brothers, John Walker and Scott Walker.

Besides his mother, Trey was predeceased by his sister, Danielle Walker.

Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
