Kate Nicole Prestage and David Russell Poplin, junior were united in marriage on Saturday, April 26, 2014 in Camden, SC. The traditional double ring ceremony took place at six o’clock in the evening and was officiated by Doctor William F. Summers and the Reverend John L. Hallman, III. Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Mr. John Harold Dickinson and vocalist Stephanie Kay Prestage, cousin of the bride. Ceremony readings were performed by Mrs. Laura McLean, aunt of the bride. The bride's parents hosted a buffet dinner and reception at Springdale Hall. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents hosted a rehearsal dinner at the Steeplechase Museum in Camden, SC.

The bride is the daughter of Drs. Ronald William and Cynthia McLean Prestage of Camden, SC. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Harold Prestage of Clinton, NC and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Malcolm McLean of Charlotte, NC. The bride is a 2004 graduate of Wilson Hall in Sumter, SC. She graduated from Clemson University in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management, and now works in sales and marketing at Prestage Foods in Saint Pauls, NC.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. David Russell Poplin of Mocksville, NC. He is the grandson of Mrs. Georgia Anne Cashion Everidge and the late Mr. James Edgar Everidge of Advance, NC, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harold Russell Poplin of Mocksville, NC. The groom is a 2002 graduate of Davie County High School in Mocksville, NC. He graduated from Coastal Carolina University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Management and a Bachelor of Science in Marketing and now works as a Senior Merchandising Manager at General Parts Inc. in Raleigh, NC.

Given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father, the bride wore a strapless trumpet-style Casablanca gown of diamond white satin. The gown featured a sweetheart neckline and an asymmetrical ruched crystal satin bodice. The sweetheart neckline was complemented by a fan detail and beaded applique. The bride wore a fingertip veil embellished with pearls and crystals. The bride carried a hand-tied bouquet of white mini calla lilies, green hydrangeas, white peonies, and white lisianthus.

Miss Ashley Marie Summers of Austin, TX and Miss Collynn Sutton Webster of Clinton, NC served as Maids of Honor. Bridesmaids included Mrs. Lauren Poplin Ballew, sister of the groom, of Cary, NC, Miss Whitney Lane Marsh of Washington, D.C., Miss Mary Elizabeth Martin of Spartanburg, SC, Mrs. Hilary Lane McCarthy of Surfside Beach, SC, and Miss Evan Adele McLeod of Greenville, SC. The maids of honor and bridesmaids wore floor length gowns in aquamarine peau de soie by Alfred Sung. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of green hydrangeas, white peonies, cream stock, and campanella roses in deep pink.

Honorary bridesmaids included Miss Elizabeth Sinclair McLean, cousin of the bride, of Charlotte, NC, Miss Kaylin Rose Prestage, cousin of the bride, of Clinton, NC and Miss Stephanie Kay Prestage, cousin of the bride, of Clinton, NC. The honorary bridesmaids wore cocktail length gowns in aquamarine peau de soie by Alfred Sung. Each carried a hand-tied bouquet of pink campanella roses and cream spray roses with a collar of galax leaves.

Mr. David Russell Poplin, father of the groom, of Mocksville, NC served as Best Man. Groomsmen included Mr. Jacob Austin Garner of Wilmington, NC, Mr. Stephen Humphrey Horne of Clinton, NC, Mr. Zachary William Prestage, brother of the bride, of Camden, SC, Mr. Adam Parks Sain of High Point, NC, Mr. Douglas Ryan Smith of Advance, NC, and Mr. Daniel Timothy Sullivan of Fort Myers, FL . "

Following a honeymoon in Saint Lucia, Kate and Dave will reside in Raleigh, NC.
