Rebekah Ann Robinson, Jacob Charles Hammond united in marriage

Miss Rebekah Ann Robinson of Lexington, SC and Mr. Jacob Charles Hammond of Camden, SC were united in marriage on Saturday, April 26, 2014 at Bethel Worship Center in Camden. The 4:30pm double ring ceremony was performed by Pastor Casey Wayne Mills. A reception followed at the Camden Country Club in Camden with guests being greeted by Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Mitchell Watson of Columbia.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest W. Robinson of Camden. Her grandparents are Ms Lola Joann Williamson of Camden and the late Mr. Lowell Williamson of Frazeysburg, Ohio, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph H. Robinson of Pecks Mill, West Virginia. The groom is the son of Mr and Mrs Charles Vernon Hammond of Camden. His grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Austin Moses Sheheen, Jr. and the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Stover Hammond all of Camden.

The bride is a 2007 graduate of Midlands Technical College with an Associate Degree in Health Science. She is a registered Dental Hygienist and employed by Midland’s Dental Partnership in Columbia. The groom attended The Citadel where he majored in Business Administration and is a 2006 graduate of the SC Criminal Justice Academy. He is employed by The Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.

The bride was escorted by her father and given in marriage by her parents. Sister of the bride, Mrs Rhea Robinson VanHouten of Lugoff was Matron of Honor. Miss Rebecca Leigh Hardee of Lexington was Maid of Honor. Sisters of the groom, Miss Sarah Joan Hammond, Ms Emily Hammond Gunter both of Camden and Mrs Annah Hammond Kirkley of Lugoff were Bridesmaids along with Mrs. Shelise Patsolic Crossland of Chapin, Miss Julie Ann Smith of Irmo, Miss Lisa Michelle Watkins of Columbia, and Mrs. Bettie Williamson Wilson of Swansea. Miss Olivia Madison VanHouten of Lugoff, niece of the bride and Miss Grace Caroline Gunter of Camden, niece of the groom were Junior Bridesmaids. Miss Madeline Anne Gunter of Camden, niece of the groom and Miss Abigail Marie VanHouten of Lugoff, niece of the bride were Flower Girls. Master James Beckwith Fayssoux of Greenville, cousin of the groom, Master Elliott Charles Kirkley of Lugoff, nephew of the groom, and Master John Anderson Thompson IV of Camden were the couple’s ring bearers. Cousins of the bride, Mrs. Kari Williamson Joyner of Camden and Ms. Beverly Williamson of Lugoff were Honorary Bridesmaids along with Miss Jennifer Nicole Cowen of Greenwood and Mrs Shiloh Hardee Ferguson of Guyton, GA. Mrs. Diane Johnson Robinson, sister-in-law of the bride greeted guest at the church and served as reception attendant.

Mr. Charles Vernon Hammond of Camden, father of the groom, served as his son’s best man. Groomsmen were Mr. Shawn Michael Cummings of Summerville, Mr. James Walter Fayssoux, Jr. of Greenville, cousin of the groom, Mr. Shane Elliott Kirkley of Lugoff, brother-in-law of the groom, Mr. Ernest Joseph Robinson of Camden, brother of the bride, Mr. Daniel Joseph Sheheen of Columbia, cousin of the groom, Mr. John Anderson Thompson III of Camden, Mr. Jonathan Lucas VanHouten of Lugoff, brother-in-law of the bride, and Mr. William David West of Camden. Ushers were Mr. John Corbett Boykin II of Camden and Mr. Matthew Todd Sheheen of Columbia, cousin of the groom.

A rehearsal dinner was hosted by Mr and Mrs Charles Vernon Hammond at Aberdeen Catery on Friday, April 25th. After a honeymoon in St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Lexington, SC.
