I have had the privilege and opportunity to help with the care of my daughter’s foster dogs from the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter until they are sent to their forever homes up north.

So far, there have been 20 and still counting.

I am amazed at the dedication and tireless efforts of Andrea Walker, who is in charge of that program, to try and save as many as she possibly can, so they can have a chance at life. Her love for these precious dogs is evident as she is also at the fund raising events held throughout the year for the shelter, all the while having a full time job.

She recently drove the foster dogs to Vermont because the driver could not make the trip and that would enable her to get some more dogs into foster homes.

Her passion for the homeless pets will be rewarded, as God says in His word, “whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me.”

The Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter is blessed to have such a passionate, caring person in their midst.
