Baseball, wrestling camps slated for L-E High

Here are two more youth sports camps which are coming to the West Wateree region of Kershaw County over the coming weeks.

Summer Baseball Program: Conducted by JRay Sports LLC, there will be two month-long sessions of the program which will be held at the Lugoff-Elgin High School baseball and softball fields.
The session for 9-10-year -olds will be held each Monday, Wednesday and Friday from June 16 through July 18 while the session for 7-8-year-olds will run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from June 18 through July 18. The older group will begin at 9 a.m. each day and conclude at 10:30 a.m. The 7-8-year-old session will run from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
The cost is $65 for 7-8-year-olds and $75 for 9-10-year-olds. The cost includes a hat and two T-shirts.
If there are enough participants, a World Series style tournament will be conducted the week of July 21.
The sessions will be run by Lugoff-Elgin High School pitching coach Jeremy Ray.

L-E wrestling camps: There will be a series of four wrestling mini-camps to be held inside the mini-gym at Lugoff-Elgin High School beginning Tuesday, June 17 and ending on Thursday, July 31.
The three-day camps will be run by L-E High School head wrestling coach Peter Hemingway and Lugoff-Elgin Middle School head coach Ted Monroe.
The camps are open to elementary, middle and high school wrestlers of all skill levels. The cost is $50 for one session, $90 for two sessions, $130 for three sessions and $150 which covers attendance at all four sessions.
The sessions, which will run from 9 a.m. until noon each day, will run over the following days: June 17-19; June 24-26; July 22-24 and July 29-31. Campers may register at the L-E High mini-gym from 15 to 30 minutes before the start of the camp and should bring workout clothes and wrestling shoes or, tennis shoes for first-time wrestlers.
