Roger Rules tourney tees off Thursday at Camden CC

The sixth annual Roger Rules Memorial Golf Tournament will be played over the Camden County Club course on Thursday, June 26.
The cost if $400 per four-person team for the Captain’s Choice scramble. There is a noon shotgun start.
Prizes will be awarded to the first- through third-place finishing teams as well as individual prizes. Golfers will also have the opportunity to win an assortment of prizes with an opportunity to drive off in a new car.
Among the celebrities scheduled to take part in the tournament are Hartsville resident and PGA Tour golfer Tommy Gainey, LPGA Tour golfer and USC graduate Kristy McPherson, world long driving champion Sean Fisher and University of South Carolina head baseball coach Chad Holbrook, along with other guests including members of the coaching staffs from several USC athletic teams.
All proceeds from the playing of the tournament will go toward the Roger Rules Memorial Scholarship Fund for an annual scholarship presented to a Camden High School senior in memory of CHS graduate Roger Jennings Davis, who was killed in an automobile accident in Camden in 2008.
