Few qualifies for Carolinas Amateur

Former Lugoff-Elgin standout and current Southern Wesleyan University golfer Bobby Few punched his ticket into the Carolinas Amateur Golf Championship tournament by finishing third in a sectional qualifier played in Summerville last week.
Few, a Lugoff resident, fired a 1-over par 73 in the qualifying event played over the 6,887-yard Westcott Golf Club in Summerville on June 18. Rich Bundschuh of Charleston and Julian Keur of Summerville tied with a pair of 2-under par 70s.
The cut line fell at 2-over par 74 in Summerville. Ten players advanced to the 100th Carolinas Amateur Championship that will be played July 10-13 at Greenville Country Club’s Chanticleer course.
This championship is conducted by the Carolinas Golf Association which is in its 105th year of serving amateur golf in the Carolinas.
