Services for Dorothy Lynn Pate "Dot" Patterson will be private. Memorials may be made to Mt. Zion Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1461 Camden, SC 29021.

Dot died on Wednesday, June 25, 2014. She was born on May 16, 1926, the daughter of the late Joe Lee Pate and Eula Marie Lee Pate. Dot married Ted Patterson on May 15, 1948. He predeceased her on March 19, 2009 after almost 61 years of marriage. Ted and Dot opened DeKalb Body Shop in 1959 and she was the bookkeeper for 35 years. The business is in its 55th year of operation. Dot was a member of Mt. Zion Baptist Church.

Dot is survived by her two children, Jo Marie Wannamaker (William) and William Broach "Bill" Patterson; three granddaughters, Pate Matheson Wannamaker Neal (Richie) of Simpsonville, SC, Erin Elizabeth and Anna Marie Patterson, both of Camden; two great-grandchildren, Richard Wayne Neal III (Tripp) and Sarah Matheson Neal.

Besides her husband and parents, she was predeceased by two brothers, Eli Lee Pate and James David Pate and her sister-in-law Mary Goff Pate.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Karesh Wing and Kershaw Health Hospice for the loving care shown to Mrs. Patterson.
