K of C Free throw contest on tap for Saturday

All Kershaw County boys and girls ages 10 to 14 are invited to participate in Saturday’s Knights of Columbus Free-Throw Shootout.

The event will be start at 1 p.m. at E. Clarkson Rhame City Arena in Camden. The doors to the facility will open at 12:30 p.m. for practice and registration. There is no entry fee to take part.

There is no entry fee and age eligibility is based on their age as of Jan 1, 2011.

Contestants may register on Saturday. A parents’ signature is required in order for contestants to be allowed in the contest.

During the competition, each boy or girl will attempt 15 free throws. In the event of a tie, a five shot tie-breaker shootout will be implemented until a clear winner emerges in each age and gender group.
