Camden Mayor Tony Scully

Camden Mayor Tony Scully is now a board member of the Association of South Carolina Mayors (ASCM). ASCM members elected Scully to the board during the Municipal Association of South Carolina’s (MASC) 74th annual meeting.

Other mayors elected to the board for three year terms with Scully are Muldin Mayor Dennis Raines, Furman Mayor Francenia Ellis and Mt. Pleasant Mayor Linda Page. Members elected Lexington Mayor Steve Douglas to fill an unexpired one-year term. Returning members to the board are Newberry Mayor Foster Senn, Summerville Mayor Bill Collins, Bowman Mayor Marion Glenn, Due West Mayor Lee Logan and Tega Cay Mayor George Sheppard.

ASCM members also elected new officers. Bluffton Mayor Lisa Sulka is now board president; Santee Mayor Donnie Hilliard is vice president. The immediate past president is Isle of Palms Mayor Dick Cronin

The ASCM formed in 2011 under the MASC’s umbrella to provide opportunities for South Carolina mayors to more fully engage in advocating for issues that affect cities and towns; to network, share ideas and best practices with other mayors; and to take part in educational activities. There are 116 ASCM members.
