Funeral services to celebrate the life of Devon Davis Graham, 72, of Elgin, SC, will be held at 3:00 PM, Tuesday, July 22, 2014 at Trinity Baptist Church in Lugoff, SC. Rev. Dr. Chuck Everett and Rev. Dean Reynolds will officiate. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 PM, Monday, July 21, 2014 at Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel. Memorials may be made in Devon’s memory to the Shriner’s Hospital for Crippled Children, 950 W. Faris Road, Greenville, SC 29605-4277 or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital, P O Box 810, Memphis, TN 38101.


Devon Davis Graham died Saturday, July 20, 2014. He was born in Loris, SC, the son of the late Martha Doretha Powell and Dock Davis Graham. Devon was a member of Trinity Baptist Church and was retired from SMI Steel. He was a member and past Master of Broad River Lodge 377 who loved his family and his Atlanta Braves.


Devon was predeceased by his wife, Carolyn Lowery Graham and his son, Russell Graham. He is survived by his daughter, Teresa G. McAvoy (Eric) of Lugoff, SC; son, Roger Graham (Laura) of Newberry, SC; daughter-in-law, Pat Graham of Elgin, SC; grandchildren, Gary Graham (Marcus), Holly Kaiser (Lee), Amanda Moore (Dom), Timothy Graham (Misty), Kelsy Graham, Emily Graham, Austin McAvoy and Carolyn Dawn McAvoy; 11 great-grandchildren; his sister, Willa Mae Soles of Bayboro, SC; and brothers, Michael Graham (Wanda) of Bayboro, SC, Eldred Graham of Goldsboro, NC, Donald Graham (Libby) of Goldsboro, NC and Harry Graham (Debbie) of Rock Hill, SC. In addition, Devon was predeceased by his brothers, Thomas Graham, James Graham and Shelton Graham; and his sisters, Mildred Fowler, Geverna Strickland and Sanatha Edwards.


Kornegay Funeral Home, Lugoff-Elgin Chapel, is in charge of the arrangements.
