Local Boy Scouts of America spent the last week of June volunteering at a Cub Scout Day Camp.

Scouts from various troops came together and assisted the camp director, Stacy Lewis, with making this a fun and safe learning environment. Cub Scouts from different troops attended, ranging in age from 7 to 11 years old.

This year’s cowboy theme camp was held at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Camden. Some of the activities of the week included archery and BB range, archeology, sports, and forestry. Presentations from the local fire station and the police department were exciting and educational.

The volunteers enjoyed their week  and felt it was a good opportunity to serve their community and be an example to younger scouts.
