If you live in Camden and do not realize how special a town it is, just wait until something goes wrong.

One Saturday evening, a strong storm blew through Camden blowing down huge old trees on Kirkwood Lane. The road was totally blocked and no one could drive through. I called the city of Camden office, which was closed, but someone on emergency duty answered and said he would try to get someone to help. Within a half an hour, one man arrived with a John Deere tractor and a front-end loader. Mike Anderson left his dinner to clear the road and, with a wonderful attitude, the job was done.

My thanks and appreciation to the exceptional Camden city crew.
