CHS girls' golf, XC teams prepare for season

A pair of fall sports at Camden High School will begin gearing up for the upcoming season with either a meeting or, the start of pre-season practice.

Lady Bulldog golf team sets meeting: All girls interested in learning more about and playing for the Camden High School girls’ golf team is asked to attend an organizational meeting on Monday, Aug. 4 at 9 a.m. at the Camden Country Club on Knights Hill Rd. in Camden.
No experience is necessary to play for the second-year team which earned a berth in the AAA state championship tournament last fall. Girls entering the seventh through 12th grade are eligible to play for the Lady Bulldogs.
All girls who plan on attending the meeting or, coming out for the 2014 Lady Bulldog golf teams should call head coach Matt McCarley at 432-3322 to let him know that you will be attending the meeting.

Camden harriers prepare for season: All boys and girls in the seventh through 12th grades who would like to run for the Camden High School boys or girls’ cross country teams are reminded that the first practice of the season will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 4 at the school’s Wellness Center.
In order to take part in practice, all prospective runners must have a completed physical form.
