The Kershaw County Gamecock Club will hold an “It’s Great To Be a Gamecock Fall Kick-off Party “on Tuesday, Aug. 19 at 6:30 p.m. at the Old South Restaurant in Camden at 6:30 p.m.
A representative from the men’s basketball team is tentatively scheduled to discuss the upcoming season. The featured speaker will be Tony Morrell.
For almost a decade, Tony Morrell, has been the definitive source for University of South Carolina football and recruiting information. His accuracy and ability to scoop a story have made him one of the most popular media figures in the Gamecock Nation. You can find all of Morrell's work on, an ESPN affiliate. He can also be heard on various sports talk radio shows across the state of South Carolina and during the football season on WLTX in Columbia.
An auction will be held for four field pre-game tickets to a football game this year. There will also be some great raffle prizes. A “tailgate” selection will be provided by the Old South.
The evening is open to all USC fans and you do not have to be a Gamecock Club member to attend.
Tickets can be purchased in advance for $10 each or bought at the door for $15. Tickets will be available at the BSL Sandwich Shop (Little Street, Camden), Camden Military Academy’s Administration Office (Hwy. 1 North, Camden), Old South Restaurant (509 Dicey Ford Road, Camden) or by calling Casey Robinson at 803-669-0273.
