Martha Ketchin Gardner

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Martha Ketchin Gardner, 90, of Camden will be held Sunday, August 10, 2014 at 4:00 PM at Quaker Cemetery. Rev. Dr. William C. Hayes and Rev. Kyle Goodman will officiate. Memorials may be made in Martha’s memory to Pinedale Residential Center, 798 Hermitage Pond Road, Camden, SC 29020 or to the Walter M. Crowe Animal Shelter, 460 S. Fair Street., Camden, SC 29020.

Mrs. Gardner, widow of Sid King Gardner, died Friday, August, 8, 2014. She was born in Hartsville, SC., the daughter of the late William Witherspoon Ketchin and Sally Beard Ketchin.

She was a member of Bethesda Presbyterian Church. Her passion was painting in all mediums, specializing in watercolor, oils and acrylic.

She is survived by 2 daughters, Sally Gardner Hayes (Bill) of Sanford, NC, Sydney Gardner Parrish (Steve) of Chapin, SC; 3 sons, William Ketchin Gardner (Debbie) of Leesville, Robert McMaster "Bob" Gardner (Donna) of Camden and Dr. John Madison Gardner of Camden; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; a brother, William Witherspoon Ketchin, Sr. of Columbia.
