Glen and Joan Inabinet (left and right), the authors of the newly released “A History of Kershaw County” are congratulated by the Kershaw County Historical Society’s Harvey S. Teal on the completion of the volume.

The book was a project of the historical society, for which Teal serves as publications committee chairman. The book, which made its official debut during a launch party/program Jan. 16 at Camden First Baptist Church Fellowship Hall, spans Kershaw County’s prehistoric to present times. The book may be purchased at the historical society headquarters, 811 Fair St., Camden, from 1 to 5 p.m. Thursdays; Camden Archives and Museum; Historic Camden Revolutionary War Site; Elgin Town Hall; and various local vendors in the area. It may also be ordered from the University of South Carolina Press, Amazon, and Barnes and Noble.
