Patricia Ann Haynes Cassady

Patricia Ann Haynes Cassady passed away peacefully on Friday August 15, 2014.

She was born January 8, 1935 and raised in Camden, SC. She graduated from Columbia Business College, Columbia, SC. In August of 1956 she married John A. Cassady, I. They lived in Clemson for a short while before settling in Charlotte, NC, where they have resided for 54 years.

Mrs. Cassady was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her faith and family were most important to her. She was very involved in her children and grandchildren’s lives, always attending their activities and looking after them.

Her dedication to and love of the Lord also kept her active in her church, St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, where she was a member for the last 48 years.

Mrs. Cassady retired after 25 years from Ivey’s and Dillards.

Mrs. Cassady is survived by her husband of 58 years, John A. Cassady, I, daughter, Denise Morrison (Tim Morrison), son, John A. Cassady, II (Angie Hames) and daughter, Cheryl Cassady Broerman, as well as grandchildren: Margaret, Meredith, Preston, and Patrick Morrison; Kelly Cassady Allen (Sam Allen), MacKenzie and Tanner Cassady; Ian, Charlie, and Cassady Broerman, and great-granddaughter Paisley Allen.

Mrs. Cassady, also leaves behind, sisters, Martha Womack (Jimmy Womack), Jeanne Hanley (Steve Hanley) and sister-in-law Marcia Haynes (Tommy Haynes) as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and great nieces and great nephews.

Mrs. Cassady was preceded in death by her parents, Margaret Cleo McCaskill Haynes and John Thomas Haynes, her brother, Tommy Haynes, sister-in-law Mary Ann Haynes, and granddaughter, Ashley Cassady.

Services for Mrs. Cassady include Graveside at Quaker Cemetary, 713 Meeting Street, Camden, SC on Friday, August 22, 2014 at 2pm and a Memorial Service at St. Andrew's United Methodist Church, 1900 Emerywood Drive, Charlotte, NC on Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 2pm. The family will receive friends prior to the memorial service 12:30-1:30pm at the church.

Memorials may be made to St. Andrew's UMC Helping Hands Fund.
