A Memorial Service celebrating the life of Victor Lee “Vic” Mays, of Camden, was held at 4:00 pm Sunday, Jan 23. 2011 at Powers Funeral Home in Lugoff, S.C. Visitation and Refreshments for family and friends followed the service.

Vic went home to be the Lord Friday, January 21, 2011 after an extended struggle with Alzheimer’s. Born on May 3, 1943, he was the 3rd son of the late Percy S. Mays and Frances Hough Mays. He always wanted to go to Nashville.

Vic is survived by his daughter, Melissa Dian “Missy” (Harry) Dill of Conway; son, Richard Lee “Ricky” Mays of Camden; grandchildren, Kirby and Caroline Dill of Conway; Justine (Sara) and Grayson of Camden; brothers and sisters-in-law, Bob and Jo Mays, Ken and Mary Louise Mays, Ron and Dale Mays, all of Camden.

The family sincerely thanks the management and staff of Pinedale Residential Assisted Living Center of Camden, Carl Vinson VA Med Center of Dublin, Ga, and Agape Senior Center of Conway for their tender loving and professional care of Vic.
