A Toys for Tots charity golf tournament to be played at Beech Creek Golf Club in Sumter on Friday, Sept. 12.

All proceeds from the event will sent to the Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation to purchase toys for disadvantaged children throughout Kershaw County.

The four-player captain’s choice event will tee off at 9 a.m. The cost is $50 per player and $200 per team. The price includes greens fees, cart rental, lunch and drawings for door prizes. In addition, two mulligans per player will be sold for $5 each.

There will be awards for first, second and third place finishers, prorated based on 60 percent of the total profit from registration fees, which are due at the time of registration. There will also be long drive contests, on a designated hole, and closest to the pin contests, also on designated hole.

For information on the tournament, please contact Wayne Farmer at (803) 669-9755 via e-mail at or, Mike at 432-6473.
