South Carolina Equine Associates Inc. (SCEA) recently chose the North Central High School (NCHS) chapter of Future Farmers of America (FFA) as this year’s recipient of a $537 donation to the program. Sponsored by Zoetis, the animal medication division of Pfizer, the donation is based on the amount of Zoetis products purchased in the year by SCEA -- a group of equine veterinarians and support staff in Camden. SCEA then chooses a different Kershaw County school to receive the donation each year. Showing off a certificate denoting the donation at SCEA’s offices are (first photograph, left to right, front row) Dr. Jeff Witwer, staff members Aimee Arrants and Alicia Cook, and (back row) doctors Nicole Cunningham and Megan Slamka (doctors Nicole Swinehart and Magda Wylie were not available). Accepting the certificate at NCHS are (second photograph, from left) FFA students Courtney Thompson, Brad Anderson, NCHS FFA Advisor George Morrow and students Brianna Aldridge, Megan Stephens and Alexis Baker.
