The game will be played at Westville Park on Saturday, Nov. 1 at 10:30 a.m. and the public is invited to attend the contest free of charge, although donations will be accepted. All proceeds from the game will stay in the county as the Kershaw County Special Olympics will be the beneficiary of the day’s proceedings.

The participating agencies are Kershaw County Fire Service, Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office, South Carolina Highway Patrol, the Camden Police Department and the Bethune Police Department.

Fans attending the game are invited to bring their own tailgate to enjoy before and during the contest. The day will offer residents and fans a chance to meet and thanks the first responders from Kershaw County and thanks them, in person, for their service to the community.

For further information on Saturday’s charity softball game, please contact Captain Steve Knafelc or, Sgt. Jacob Hammond both who are at the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office.
