Nothing in particular

No topic is heavy on my mind this week. There are a few new things that have got me excited, but not so excited that I can carry on about them in hundreds of words. I am excited that the Hallmark television network is showing Christmas movies, which in turn has me anticipating the day Lifetime and ABC Family start showing Christmas movies and programs as well.

Aside from being excited about the current and upcoming seasonal programs on television, I am always anticipating my favorite shows each week. I never miss “American Horror Story,” “Revenge” or “Grey’s Anatomy” -- unless I absolutely have to for some reason. I also anticipate “The Big Bang Theory,” “Catfish” and “Deadly Women.” I am already anxious for Sunday to see what happens next on “Revenge.”

So, as usual, I have a lot of things on my mind and each thought takes turns being at the center of my attention. Along with the ingrained reminder of my shows, one day I may be thinking about the places I want to travel (plans in the far future) and the next I may be thinking about my weekend plans (near future). It all depends on how I am feeling and if my weekend plans include much more than just being a homebody.

This past weekend, my dominating thoughts concerned traveling. Usually when I start thinking about traveling, it not only means I am yearning for some down time, but it also means I have been in the same place too long (according to my definition of long) and am ready for a dramatic change -- even if it is only for three days. A short vacation to a place unlike the places I live or spend a lot of my time always refreshes me and builds me back up to face my normal daily duties. I have been thinking about strolling down North Michigan Avenue in Chicago and sitting on a hotel balcony in Myrtle Beach watching the waves topple forward and then creep back.

My thoughts were not limited to traveling this weekend. I had several other thoughts, but with the slight exception of thinking about traveling, no others were consistently on my mind. I had no eureka moments or any strong desires to write about anything in particular.
