Since there is no freshman game on Thursday, due to Lower Richland’s not fielding a team, the Andrew Jackson at Camden junior varsity football game will have a 6 p.m. start rather than the scheduled 7 p.m. kickoff.

The contest will be played at Zemp Stadium.

Football contest winners are fit to be tied: Ina Price and Faye Wakefield each missed one of 14 games game and both contestants missed the tie-breakering contest by four points to be crowned co-winners of last week’s Chronicle-Independent weekly football contest.

For their efforts, Price, from Camden, and Wakefield, from Lugoff, split the $50 first prize.

The football contest is included in each Monday edition of the C-I throughout the college football season.
