Lugoff Fire-Rescue (LF-R) personnel work to extricate two passengers from this car around 1 p.m. Thursday, which apparently rolled over several times after having gone up an embankment on the eastbound I-20 ramp at Camden Exit 98. Dispatchers initially told the LF-R the accident took place on I-20 itself, but Lugoff Rescue 10, Service 10 and Battalion 1 soon found the accident was on the ramp. LF-R crews stabilized the vehicle and successfully extricated both patients with rescue tools. LF-R Chief Dennis Ray said KershawHealth EMS transported both patients to Palmetto Richland for possible trauma, with a LF-R firefighter driving the ambulance. Ray said Camden and Charlotte Thompson units also responded to the scene. He said no other vehicles were involved and the S.C. Highway Patrol is investigating the accident. LF-R crews cleared the scene around 1:45 p.m.
