L-EHS hosts archery tournament Saturday

For many years, Kershaw County School District (KCSD) schools have done well in state and national archery tournaments. This year, they will be hosting a regional tournament where more than 350 archers and 15 schools are scheduled to compete.

Hosted by Stover Middle and Blaney Elementary schools, the Region 2 Regional National Archery in Schools tournament will be held at Lugoff-Elgin High School on Saturday starting at 9 a.m. Admission is $3 for adult spectators and $1 for children. 

In addition to Stover and Blaney, a team from ATEC will also compete. Stover will compete in the 11 a.m. flight, Blaney at noon and ATEC at 1 p.m. An awards ceremony will be held at 4 p.m.
