Memorial services to celebrate the life of George Lyman Shortridge, 71, of Camden, will be held Saturday, February 5, 2011 at 2:00 PM at Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel. Rev. Mark Bredholt will officiate.

Mr. Shortridge, widower of Dorothy Morris Shortridge, died Sunday, January 23, 2011. Born in Jacksonville, FL, he was the son of Bertha Parker Shortridge Law and the late Lyman George Shortridge.

Mr. Shortridge is survived by his children, Connie S. Smith, of Jacksonville, FL and Kevin Shortridge of Marietta, GA; step-children, Sandie Simpson Hardee and Jimmy Simpson; grandchildren, Amber Mika Smith, Chaz Hardee, Felicia Simpson and Curtis Simpson; great granddaughter, Alianna Mika Diaz. He was predeceased by a son, Jeffrey Shortridge, sisters, Anita Jackson and Patricia Timmons.

Kornegay Funeral Home Camden Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
