Kevin “KT” Taylor and several fellow area musicians will kick off Cup Weekend with a special Finally Friday performance on the Town Green in downtown Camden.

The Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) kicks off its 2015 Finally Friday Free Concert Series with a special edition on Friday on the Town Green with local band KT & Friends. The concert will be held from 6 – 8:30 p.m. This special Pre-Carolina Cup Kick Off is made possible by the City of Camden, along with sponsors NBSC, Powers Funeral Home, Alpine Agency, Warrior Fitness Camden, Graham Realty, City Laundry and Cleaners and TruVista. The Town Green is located at 1015 Market Street behind the Old Armory in downtown Camden.

Rockin’ on the Green

With the warm weather on its way, and the excitement of the Carolina Cup, what better way to start the weekend than listening to one of Camden’s favorites, KT & Friends headed up by a very familiar face, Kevin Taylor. Taylor will be joined by local musicians including Rusty Davis, Rusty Autrey, Robert Charles, Scott Jordan, Bobby Joseph, Jimmy Tatum, Jim Hayes and Tim Bordner.

"We are excited to open our Finally Friday concert series on the Town Green. This will be a great way to showcase downtown Camden to our guests in town for the Carolina Cup Races," said Executive Director Kristin Cobb. "KT and Friends always put on a super show with lots of favorites for all ages."

Admission is free and beverages will be available for purchase both from Old Armory Seafood & Steakhouse and The Venue On Broad. All guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. The rain location will be on the stage in the Wood Auditorium.

In its ninth year, Finally Friday is a free outdoor concert series that provides a casual family atmosphere in which to enjoy a variety of live musical styles. Admission is always free with food and beverages available for purchase.
