Tinsley Iselin and Dakota Hadley wed

Tinsley Simonds Iselin and Dakota Lee Hadley were married on April 11, 2015 on the banks of the Ashley River at Lowndes Grove Plantation in Charleston, South Carolina. The Reverend Nancy Bird Pellegrini of Charleston, SC performed the 5:30 p.m. ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Downes Iselin of Camden, South Carolina. She is the granddaughter of the late Andrew Simonds Drury and Mary Murray Bennett Drury of Charleston. She is also the granddaughter of the late Oliver Iselin, Jr. of Glen Head LI, New York and the late Elizabeth Downes Iselin of Camden, New South Wales, Australia. The groom is the son of Mr. Lee Wayne Hadley of Orange, Texas and Ms. Susan Elizabeth Palmer of West Palm Beach, FL. He is the grandson of the late Allen Van Palmer and the late Barbara Ann Booker Palmer of Charlotte, North Carolina. He is also the grandson of the late Jay Arthur Hadley and the late Carol Parsons Hadley of Shodack, New York.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents and escorted by her father. She wore a gown of ivory and champagne Italian Guipure lace with sheer Guipure lace sleeves leading into an open back. The fitted flare design led into a semi-chapel length train. Miss Iselin wore her mother’s pearl earrings and bracelet. She carried a cascading bouquet of garden roses, orchids and jasmine. The matron of honor was Katherine Davis Watson of Nashville, TN and the maid of honor was Victoria McCormick Thomas of San Francisco, CA. Bridesmaids were Courtney Marzahn Iselin of New York, NY, Carolina Ann Hadley of Jacksonville, FL, Mary-Carson Saunders Stiff of Norfolk, VA, Marissa Lee Tripolski of Cambridge, MA and Kelly Jean Wakeham of Cambridge, MA.

Michael Brendan Hauer of Charleston and Stephen Edward Kaskin of Charleston served as best men. Groomsmen were Lee Wayne Hadley of Orange, TX , Joseph Robert Kampman of Washington, DC, Derek Phillip Cramer of Washington, DC and Charles Oliver Iselin of New York, NY. Ushers were Andrew Simonds Drury, III of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Graham Reeves Drury of New York, NY, Thomas Eugene Dunn of Lexington, SC, John Easel Rappold of Charleston, SC and Daniel Ross Walker of Atlanta, GA. The greeter was Eleanor En Hua Yee of Brooklyn, NY and Master Julian Andrew Byrne of Charleston, SC served as ring bearer. An excerpt from "The Velveteen Rabbit" by Margery Williams was read by Sarah Elizabeth Dozier of New York, NY.

The bride attended the Hammond School in Columbia, South Carolina and graduated from Episcopal High School in Alexandria, Virginia. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from Bates College in Lewiston, Maine. Miss Iselin received a Masters in Physician Assistant Studies from the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. She currently practices in the Medstar Georgetown Orthopedic Institute in Washington, D.C. The groom graduated, with honors, from Summerville High School. He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the College of Charleston, with Cum Laude honors. Mr. Hadley has a Masters degree from George Washington University in Health Sciences and Physician Assistant Studies. He is a Physician Assistant for Prince William Orthopaedics.

The couples were given a plate shower, in the autumn, at Cantey Lane Farm hosted by Di DuBose of Camden, SC, Edie DuBose of Charleston, SC, Deborah Hollings of Columbia, SC, Susan Field of Camden, SC, Polly Lampshire of Camden, SC, Deborah McAbee of Camden, SC and Liza Van Horn of Camden, SC. The couple were given an engagement party at the bride’s home hosted by Dr. and Mrs. Neal Atkinson of Columbia, SC, Ms. Karen Burdette of Camden, SC, Mrs. Oliver Iselin Crawford of Columbia, SC, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Eller Davis of Columbia, SC, Mr. and Mrs. Christopher Loving Elser of Camden, SC, Dr. and Mrs. Theodore E. Kalutz of Camden, SC, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas B. Myers of Camden, SC, Mrs. James C. Owens of Columbia, SC, Dr. and Mrs. Jack Friedman Scheuer, Jr. of Camden, SC and Mr. and Mrs. John C. West, Jr. of Camden, SC. The bridesmaids were houseguests of Victor B. Strauss. Miss Iselin was given a spring bridal shower, in Columbia, SC, hosted by Anne Marie Crosswell of Columbia, SC, Eleanor Fairey of Charlotte, NC and Mary Holland of Washington, DC.

After a honeymoon trip to Italy this summer, the couple will reside in Charleston, South Carolina.
