Economic ambassador

Steve Singleton (center), general manager of Canfor Southern Pine (formerly New South Lumber Co.), has been honored as an Ambassador for Economic Development by the S.C. Department of Commerce and legislative leaders. S.C. Gov. Nikki Haley (left) and House Speaker Bobby Harrell (right) gave their congratulations to Singleton for the recognition, which came as part of the state’s 20th annual Industry Appreciation Week and recognizes individuals for their exceptional efforts to bolster community and economic development activities in South Carolina.
