CHS ready to begin girls’ golf, X-C season

Any middle school or high school student -- both boys and girls -- entering seventh through12th grade interested in running cross country at Camden High School is reminded that the first practice for the 2015 season will be held on Monday, Aug. 3rd at 8 a.m. in the parking lot at the school’s Wellness Center.

All participants must have a current sports physical either with them or, on file with the school before they will be allowed to take part in practice. Physical forms may be found on the Camden High school home page located at www.kcsdschools.net/chs.

Lady Bulldogs looking for golfers: In preparing for this coming fall season, the Camden High School girls’ golf team is seeking players who would like to join the team.

The Lady Bulldogs will be playing their third season of golf this year and have made the AAA state tournament in each of their first two seasons under head coach and Camden Country Club head professional, Matt McCarley. Playing experience is not necessary and the team is open to girls entering the seventh through 12th grades in the 2015-16 school year.

Any players interested in playing for the team or, learning about the program, should call McCarley at 342-3322.
