Lt. Col. Antonio M. Fletcher, a Camden High School graduate, has served in the United State Army for two decades, and has numerous deployments to Afghanistan for Operation Enduring Freedom.

In 2006, he assumed command of the 3rd Battalion, 7th Special Forces Group – Airborne. In 2008, while in Afghanistan, he “masterfully synchronized operations, resulting in increased legitimacy of the government,” according to a brochure from his change-of-command ceremony  at Fort Bragg, N.C., in 2009.

Fletcher and his wife, Shirley, have two children, Malcolm, 11, and Sydney, 7. His parents, King and Thelma Fletcher, live in Kershaw County.
