Saturday’s Camden Jamboree to kick off baseball season in county

NORTH CENTRAL CATCHER Chase Stephens and the Knights will again be part of Saturday’s Camden Baseball Jamboree.

Baseball fans in Kershaw County can get a sneak-peek at their favorite team in Saturday’s annual Camden Baseball Jamboree.

The five mini-games featuring all three Kershaw County baseball programs will be held at American Legion Park on Ehrenclou Drive in Camden beginning at 9 a.m.

The first three-inning game between Hartsville and Dreher will have a 9 a.m. first pitch. At 10:30 a.m., Ridge View will take on Crestwood.

North Central will be the first of the three county entries to take the field when Robbie Cash and company return to the pre-season event to meet Richland Northeast at noon.

The 1:30 p.m. contest pits Lugoff-Elgin and Chesterfield. The day closes at 3 p.m. with host Camden squaring off against Fairfield Central.

Admission is $3 for the entire day and the concession stand will be in operation throughout the day.
