The Camden Military Academy junior varsity soccer team rallied from a 2-0 deficit to tie Hammond, 4-4, in a Tuesday match played at Spartan Field on the CMA campus.

Trailing 2-0 after 20 minutes, the hosts received late-half goals from sophomore Kyle Rhodes and Anthony Brown in the closing five minutes of the first half to level the match at 2-2 at halftime.

The visiting Skyhawks made it a 3-2 game by scoring early in the second half. CMA (1-0-1) retaliated with Jeffrey Nyman finding the back of the nets for the second time this season on the counter-attack for the tie.

Hammond scored again, 20 minutes into the second half but CMA’s  Fahad Almalik was determined to be the hero of the evening by scoring the equalizer with a furious run leading to the tying goal.
