Playing their first match since returning to campus from spring break, the Camden Military Academy junior varsity soccer team won for the second time this season with a 2-0 victory over visiting Cheraw in a contest played last Wednesday at Spartan Field.

Sophomore Fahad Almalik scored both goals for the Spartans and both came in the first half of the match. Almalil later said that he felt the team played a great game and his goals are the result not only of his individual effort but the result of the team work.

Edward Benitez was in goal and was credited with the shutout.

“My players did everything I told them to do during the game. I expect everyone to just play as hard as they can and no matter what the outcome, be proud of their performance,” said CMA head coach Jair Ararat following the match.
