Fields finishes ninth in Charlotte meet

Led by a ninth place finish from Nick Fields, the Camden Military Academy cross country team finished fifth in a seven-team meets held at McAlpine Park in Charlotte on Tuesday afternoon.

Fields, a senior from nearby Matthews, N.C., finished the 5k race in a final time of 20:51.42. Freshman teammate Kendal Kreide was 16th in a time of 21:39.27 while senior Dean Scott was in 37th with a clocking of 23:1413. Rounding out the scoring for John Heflin’s troops were sophomore Octaevius Bunn (24:04.17) and junior Dylan Schluter (24:04.48) who came home in 43rd and 44th place, respectively.

Arborbrook Christian Academy won the event with 28 points. The Spartans checked in with 113 points.
