Over twenty umbrellas decorated the grounds of the Robert Mills Courthouse on Nov. 3 as a part of a state-wide event for National Hospice and Palliative Care Month. Each vibrant floral umbrella represented a life touched by hospice services. Each umbrella has the name of an individual that Camden’s Agape has helped. Statewide, this is South Carolina’s seventh annual Life Blooms Eternally. “This event is our time to tell a story, for loved ones to come and talk to the family, and come see their loved one’s name in front of an umbrella,” Camden’s Agape Executive Director Dee Dee Henderson said. That afternoon, a memorial service was held where families talked about their loved ones and their time at hospice.
