More Than Conquerors baseball clinic on deck

The “More Than Conquerors” baseball clinic will be held on Saturday, March 4 from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at Wildwood Youth Complex in Lugoff.

The annual event is free and open to children of all ages. There will be a free hot dog lunch, prizes, autographs --- including autographed baseballs --- to be given away at the conclusion of the clinic. The puppet ministry from Sandhills Baptist Church will also perform.

 Former Major League Baseball player Jonathan Johnson, who played with the Padres, Rangers and Astros will be among the list of instructors which also includes Mark Clemons, who was with the Braves, along with local college athletes and coaches.

Basic baseball skills including batting, pitching, running, infield, outfield and catching will be addressed. There will be a radar gun on site to time the youngsters’ fastball.

In the event of rain, the Clinic will be held at Lugoff First Baptist Church.
