Discount Cup ticket offer ends Saturday

Prices for spaces on rails dropped to $100 each

TIME IS RUNNING OUT for patrons to get a break on ticket prices for The Mullikin Law Firm Carolina Cup.

Saturday is the final day to purchase discount general admission tickets for the 83rd running of The Mullikin Law Firm Carolina Cup Steeplechase Races.

The 2017 Camden spring classic will be run over the historic Springdale Race Course on Saturday, April 1.

In order to facilitate as many people as possible seeking to purchase $30 advance general admission tickets for the races, the Carolina Cup office, located inside the National Steeplechase Museum on Knights Hill Rd. in Camden, will be open from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. March 18. After Saturday, all general admission tickets will be sold for $45.

In addition to the discount prices on general admission tickets, first-time buyers can secure reserved parking spaces on the North, South and West rails for $100 each, which includes two tickets to the races. The price on this special deal represents a $115 discount from their previous price.

Officials with the Carolina Cup also said Saturday, March 18 will be the final day for tickets and reserved parking space tags to be sent out from their office.

The day’s first race will meet the starter’s flag at 1:30 p.m. The gates to the Springdale Race Course will open at 9 a.m. to the general public on April 1.

Here are the ticket and reserved parking options for the Carolina Cup races:

 

General admission tickets: $30, through 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 18. All tickets purchased after that date will be $45 and will be available at all gates on the day of the races.

(Note: Children ages 11 and under will be admitted to the races free of charge, if accompanied by an adult ticket-holder.)

General admission parking: $10; available at the gates on race day.

Infield: $215 per parking space. Includes one parking credential for one parking space in the infield and two general admission tickets.

North, South and West rail(s) special offer: $100 per space for first-time buyers; includes two general admission tickets

Restricted parking rows A, B & C: $267 per parking space; includes one parking credential for one parking space of an oversize vehicle, such as an RV or large van, n the restricted area and two general admission tickets.

Front row paddock: $318 per parking space; includes one parking credential for one parking space on the front row paddock and two general admission tickets

College Park rows A, B & C: $830 per space; includes two parking credentials for one space on College Park rows A & B, which measures 40’ wide by 30’ deep, and a 20’ x 20’ tent

(Note: General admission tickets are not included)

College Park rows D & E: $215 per parking space; includes one parking credential for one parking space on College Park rows D & E, and two general admission tickets

Grandstand Box: $500 per box; $100 for an individual seat. The cost for six seats in the box includes premier seating at the finish line and one boxholder parking credential. Individual seats also come with one boxholder parking credential which allows patrons to view the races from the best seats at the race course. Additional parking tags are available for $25 each. All patrons 12 and older require appropriate credentials to enter the grandstand. 

Columbia Metropolitan Magazine Turf Club: $150 per person; The 200-person Turf Club offers premier table seating along the home stretch along with a clear view of the action. In addition to their grandstand seat, patrons receive access to VIP parking, private executive washrooms, an open bar, an elegant buffet luncheon and private tables. It should be noted that Turf Club tickets sold out quickly for last year’s Carolina Cup and the same response is expected for the Camden spring classic.

Carolina Cup Post and Paddock Tent: $50 per person. Post and Paddock guests will enjoy a full luncheon with choice salads, pasta, roast beef, rolls, fruits, cheese and desserts. Lunch will be served from 11 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. The tent will also have a cash bar and light snacks.

Tickets for the Columbia Metropolitan Magazine Turf Club and Carolina Cup Post and Paddock Tent may only be made by calling the Carolina Cup office at 432-6513 for reservations if you are interested in purchasing luncheon tent tickets to either the Turf Club (18 years of age and older only) or the Post and Paddock Tent.
