Leigh Loudermilk holds Nattie, a young Boykin Spaniel puppy. Nattie is owned by Tabby Langley, one of some 450 people who came to town for the annual Boykin Spaniel Society Field Trials. The event, which features field competitions, an oyster roast, an awards banquet and of course, lots of squirming, excited four-legged guests of honor, has become such a popular event that the city of Camden and Kershaw County have declared the week of the field trials as Boykin Spaniel Week.
