Amelia Martin weds Nicholas McManus

  Amelia Margaret Martin and Nicholas Hunter McManus were joined in marriage at Manning United Methodist Church in Manning, South Carolina on Saturday, March 25, 2017 at 5:00 p.m.

   Reverend James Carl Adams officiated the double-ring ceremony. 

  The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Lewis Martin of Manning, S.C. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Edward Gamble of Manning and of the late Mr. and Mrs. Stamey Albert Martin of Lancaster, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. James Sieber Wellock of Manning, S.C.

  The bride is a 2006 graduate of the University of South Carolina and received her Bachelor of Arts in education. She is currently employed at First Community Bank in  Camden, S.C.

  The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Clyde McManus and Mr and Mrs Pete Stokes, both of Lugoff, S.C.. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight  Hanks of Lugoff, S.C., Mr. and Mrs. Henry McManus of Camden, S.C. and Larry Robinson of Camden, S.C. The great-grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Lowell Rudolph Wilson of Lugoff, S.C.

   He  attended Central Carolina College and is employed with Caulder Plumbing in Camden, S.C. 

   The bride was given in marriage by her father, Mr. Gary Lewis Martin.

    She wore a fit and flare wedding gown with graphic lace and satin. The ivory gown had an eyelash lace-trimmed, semi-sweetheart neckline and corded lace hem with a chapel train. 

  Her bouquet was white roses, pink astible and pink, D’Hara roses. The handle was wrapped with a lace handkerchief embroidered with initials of her grandmother and her grandfather.

   Kate Gamble Martin, sister of the bride of Manning, S.C. served as matron of honor.

  Bridesmaids were Paige Marie Ansley, Grace Elizabeth Briggs, Malloree Davidson Cothran, and Brittany Nicole McManus. 

  Joshua Charles McManus was the best man.

  Nicholas Tyler Edgin, Gary Lewis Martin Jr., Joshua Blair Raulerson ad Chad Eric Rowell were the groomsmen. 

   The flowers girls were Claira Jewell McManus and Joeanna Claire Parnell.

  The ring bearers were Joshua Charles McManus Jr. and Michael Scott Parnell Jr. Honorary ring bearers were Jaxson Cash McManus and James Cothran Rowell.

  The bride’s honorary family included Mrs. Ruby Samuel Wilson.

   Wedding guests were greeted by Ms. Margaret Jones Gamble, Mr. James Edward Gamble III and Mr. and Mrs. Mayrant Jones Gamble.

   Mrs. Kathy Owen Gatlin was the organist.

Kelsey Taylor and Austin William Veverica were vocalists.

   Mrs. Sue Allen Jordan directed the wedding.    

   After the wedding a reception was held at the Drayton House in Manning.

   The couple went on a cruise to Cozumel, Mexico on their honeymoon,

   They now reside in Lugoff, S.C.
