Landslide takes FAC stage Friday

  The Finally Friday Free Concert Series continues at the Fine Arts Center of Kershaw County (FAC) on Friday, May 26 with local favorite Landslide. The concert will take place at the Shull Pavilion located behind the Wood Auditorium on the grounds of the FAC from 6 to 8:30 p.m. The Finally Friday Free Concert Series is sponsored by Duke Energy, NBSC, Alpine Agency, Graham Realty, Fellers Furniture Company, Gadgets of Camden and City Laundry & Cleaners. 

 This outdoor concert series provides a casual family atmosphere in which to enjoy a variety of live musical styles. Admission is free and food will be available for purchase from Gadgets of Camden, along beverages from the FAC. Guests are encouraged to bring a lawn chair or blanket. No coolers, please.

   Landslide is a diverse music experience, known not only for their beach music, but classic rock, Motown, and pop-anything from Fleetwood Mac or Heart to Steely Dan and Earth, Wind & Fire. The band is comprised of Leo Price, lead guitar and vocals; Tom Ross, saxophone and vocals; Buddy Harre, drums and vocals; and Danny Massalon, bass guitar and vocals. Special guests will be Jerry Sheheen, vocals and trombone and Melissa Delatorre, vocals.

   “Bring all of your friends, because this is going to be a great one,” Marketing Director Jane Peterson said. “Landslide always brings a good crowd!”

   The Fine Arts Center is funded in part by the Frederick S. Upton Foundation and the South Carolina Arts Commission, which receives support from the National Endowment for the Arts. Additional funding is provided by the City of Camden, Kershaw County, and BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina along with donations from businesses and individuals.
