A funeral service to celebrate the life of Alene Bailey Parker, 94, of Camden, SC, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, July 7, 2017 at Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church. Rev. David Weaver and Rev. Steve Patterson will officiate. Burial will follow in Quaker Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the Family Life Center following the burial. Memorials may be made to Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church, 1206 Lyttleton Street, Camden, SC 29020.

Alene, widow of James Virgil Parker, Jr., died Sunday, July 2, 2017. She was born in Walstonburg, NC, the daughter of the late George Bailey and Pearl Smith Bailey. She was a member of Lyttleton Street United Methodist Church.

Alene is survived by her sons, David James Parker (Carol) of Silva, NC, Michael Ray Parker (Merlinda) of Belton, SC and Ted Randall Parker (Lisa) of Snelville, GA; daughters, Yvonne Parker Grubbs (Gary) of Reading, PA and Donna Parker Dabbs (Chris) of Great Falls; grandchildren, Chandra Lee (Chad), 309 E. Ten Street Jordan Parker, Elizabeth Parker, Stephen Parker, Tia Grubbs, Grant Grubbs, Bailey Dabbs, Olivia Dabbs and Christopher Dabbs; great-grandchildren, Cayla Lee, Carsten Lee, Mason Parker and Benjamin Parker, Anna Groff and Christian Groff and Nicholas Ray Parker; and her sister, Rayonell Rose of Princeton, NC.

Alene was predeceased by her grandson, Nicholas Parker and her brother, Harold D. Bailey.
