Deidre Nelson, SMM loan originator manager for AgSouth Farm Credit’s mortgage loan department (AgSouth Mortgages), recently announced that Jeffrey Mills has joined the association as a mortgage originator. Mills will work from the Camden office and will serve Richland, Kershaw, and Fairfield counties.

Mills has been with Farm Credit more than five years, working with AgSouth’s district bank, AgFirst Farm Credit, in bank services and correspondent lending, where he served various roles. He has a B.S. in finance from Limestone College in Gaffney. Mills is excited about the opportunities to meet new people and serve the needs of homeowners in northern midlands of South Carolina.

Nelson says that Mills’ degree and lending experience make him an integral part of helping serve the expanding needs of the association’s mortgage department in and around Columbia.

AgSouth Farm Credit provides loans for land, equipment and production agriculture; crop insurance; leasing; and home mortgages. The Association is headquartered in Statesboro, Ga.
