The summer program at Baron DeKalb Elementary School (BDK) concluded with a field study to Huntington Beach State Park.

During the field study, the students were instructed by the park rangers on how to catch fish and carbs using nets.

During the summer program at BDK, students participated in different STEM activities. One of the activities included creating an arcade game other students in the program would be able to play.

At the end of the summer program, the students showcase their arcade game to students, teachers and family members. During the showcase, students played the games and won prizes just like in a real arcade. Lindsey Finley, the STEM teacher, said, “I am very proud of the students. The students really enjoyed created and putting together their game.”
