Pracht inducted into National Auctioneers Hall of Fame

J. Chris Pracht, IV, CAI, AARE, CES, was recently bestowed high honor at the National Auctioneers Association (NAA) 68th International Auctioneers Conference and Show in Columbus, Ohio. Pracht, a professional real estate auctioneer and estate specialist who lives in Camden and in Anderson was inducted into the NAA Hall of Fame during the President’s Gala, held July 13. 

The NAA is the auction industry’s largest trade association with more than 4,000 members. The NAA Hall of Fame inductees are selected by auction industry leaders who have been chosen for the award in prior years. Each recipient is unaware of his or her induction in to the Hall of Fame, which is revealed in a presentation by a mentor or close colleague of the recipient. One of four recipients this year, Pracht was presented the award by Marty Higgenbotham. 

During his speech, Pracht credited his auction colleagues and the NAA with helping him re-establish a successful career in the auction industry.  

“When I started at CAI (Certified Auctioneers Institute), it brought me back to center,” Pracht said. “Because I knew I had all of you and I could build the biggest team of experts to back me in my business. You have all helped me in many ways, and I want to continue to give back to this industry” he added. 

Pracht is and has been, a Professional Real Estate Auctioneer and Estate Specialist for more than 30 years. A member of the NAA for more than 26 years and a CAI graduate since 1992. he has served as treasurer of the National Auctioneers Association 2013-2015.
