A funeral service to celebrate the life of Clara Branham, 86, of Elgin will be held Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 3:00 PM at Blaney Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery. Rev. Philip Blankenship will officiate. Memorials may be made in Mrs. Branham’s memory to the Arthritis Foundation-Carolinas Chapter, 200 East Woodlawn Rd., Suite 156, Charlotte, NC 28217 or Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association - Midstate - South Carolina, 3223 Sunset Blvd., Suite 100, West Columbia, SC 29169.

Mrs. Branham, widow of Brooks T. Branham, died Sunday, March 20, 2011. Born in Blythewood, she was the daughter of James Allen Branham and Mary Abbott Branham. She was retired from the Stone Manufacturing Company. Mrs. Branham was a member of Blaney Baptist Church where she was a former Sunday school teacher.

Surviving is a sister, Irene Stockman of Tookedoo; brother, Grady B. Branham of Columbia, a special sister-in-law, Juanita Branham of Elgin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by 7 brothers, Caldwell, Clyburn, Collie, Claude, George, Belvin, Norman Branham; 2 sisters, Elmer Goff and Melvina Stockman.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff on hall 300 at Springdale Healthcare for their love and devotion shown to Mrs. Branham.
