It started with a win over North Augusta and continued with Thursday’s 3-0 sweep over Region 6-4A rival Hartsville.

The Lugoff-Elgin volleyball team improved to 5-2 overall by dousing Hartsville on the road last Thursday in a three-set romp. The victory came one night after Katie Ham’s troops swept past in-county rival Camden on Wednesday.

The Lady Demons had little trouble in knocking off the host Lady Red Foxes, 25-10, 25-14 and 25-15.

After having enjoyed a big night in L-E’s win over Camden, junior Sarah Turner continued her fine play by dishing out 30 assists to go along with seven service aces, four kills and a pair of digs in Hartsville.

Freshman Kennedy Robinson sent down seven kills for the winners who received five from senior Madi Campbell, four from junior Sydney Ochoa --- who added a block --- and three kills from senior Summer Rasberry, who also had three digs on the night.
