Lady Demons roll past Crestwood

L-E’S P.A. WELLS SERVED up five aces in Tuesday’s sweep of Crestwood.

A quick look over the stat sheet tells you all you need to know in regard to Lugoff-Elgin’s volleyball match against visiting Crestwood on Tuesday.

The Lady Demons smacked down 27 kills, served up 24 aces and had only three assists.

Put those all together and they add up to an easy 25-9, 25-10, 25-14 sweep for Katie Ham’s squad which improved to 2-0 in Region 6-4A and 6-4 in dual matches.

The hostesses spread the wealth in extending their win streak to four with junior Sarah Tuner, senior P.A. Wells and sophomore Katie Napper collecting five aces each. Senior Natalie Taylor and freshman Kennedy Robinson added three aces apiece.

Along the net, junior Sydney Ochoa sent down seven kills with Robinson adding five. Turner and junior Emily Nettles had four and three kills, respectively, with Nettles leading the winners with all three of their assists.
