The local Knights of Columbus Council is conducting its annual Columbus Hope Drive through Oct. 7. During the drive, the knights are giving away Tootsie Rolls in front of Kershaw County stores and accepting donations for people with intellectual disabilities.  Last year’s drive raised $4,642 for the Kershaw County Disability and Special Needs Center. Pictured from left are Mike Williams, KOC, Elgin Mayor Melissa Emmons, who received the first Tootsie Roll and made the first donation this year, and Fred Florian, KOC.
